Doggy High Tea at the King Edward Hotel

The King Edward Hotel in downtown Toronto hosted a canine celebrity look-a-like high tea this past weekend.

About 40 dogs and their owners gathered for freshly baked gourmet dog biscuits, beef broth and a furry fashion show to kick off the sixth annual Woofstock, the largest festival for dogs in North America. The Festival will take place June 11 and 12 at the St. Lawrence Market area.

Last year attendance to the event reached 260,000 people and their pets. Over 200 specialty vendors are expected but there are also plenty of events such as a Stupid Dog Trick Contest and a specialty obstacle course. The Woofstock itinerary does include a fashion show featuring the latest couture from doggie fashion lines, as well as a best costume contest.
